Roland Gumpert, an engineer who played a major role in Audi’s motorsport campaigns, envisions creating a car that is so aerodynamically efficiently that it can drive on the roof of a tunnel. In 2004, he founded his own company, Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH. Based in Germany; it released its first car, the Gumpert Apollo, in 2011. And wow, that car was just special.
Performance
The engine used for this car is a 4.2 liter V8 sourced from Audi. Armed with fuel injection, dry sump lubrication, and 2 turbochargers, it is capable of producing 640 horsepower. This engine is further strengthened in Sport trim (690HP), and produces even more in Race trim (790HP). This is enough to produce unbelievable acceleration numbers: zero-to-100 kilometers per hour comes in 3.0 seconds (some even attain times in the 2 second range) and zero-to-200 kilometers per hour comes in a mind boggling 8.9 seconds.
Top speed is recorded at 225 miles per hour. To prove its capability, it made records in various tracks: 7 minutes and 11 seconds is what the Apollo took to finish 1 lap of the Nurburgring, and was for some time the record holder in the TV show Top Gear, notching a lap time of 1 minute and 17.1 seconds.
Exterior & Interior
The Gumpert Apollo is a distinctively shaped vehicle that takes no compromise in its pursuit of performance. One of the more elegant and unique looking vehicles on the planet, it has an extremely aerodynamic design that is more than capable of holding its own even on insane speeds. Various inlets located on the front and side of the car ensure that the turbocharged engine and brakes receive sufficient cooling, a crucial element for the high stress nature of racing. A huge roof scoop provides air for the engine that is located just in front of the rear axle.
Diffusers provide additional down-force and additional vents aid in cooling, while providing some additional eye candy for onlookers. One of the things that Gumpert has prioritized in this car is that it has to be lightweight. They were able to do this by using a generous amount of carbon fiber. This light and strong material can be found on the monocoque and the instrument panel, to name just 2. Overall, it weighs between 2400 and 2600 pounds.
However, despite these dizzying numbers, creature comforts are not sacrificed. It is constructed to be drivable in everyday conditions. The seats are customized according to the owner’s specifications, decked with leather and Alcantara trim, and equipped with amenities such as air conditioning, navigation, DVD player, a sound system, and a rear facing camera. And to cap it all off, this car passed all safety regulations.

Ein neuer Supersportwagen aus Spanien bringt die Luxuswelt in Wallung. Der Spano von GTA Motors und dessen Firmengründer Domingo Ochoa betreten mit einem selbst entwickelten V10, optionaler Bioethanol-Befeuerung und hinreißender Optik die automobile High-Class-Bühne.
Interessenten müssen sich beeilen: Es wird lediglich 99 erlesene Stücke geben. In Valencia, auf dem Circuit Ricardo Tormo, fanden nun zur Weihnachtszeit die letzten Testfahrten des Jahres statt.
Zur weiteren Verbesserung der Performance durften José Manuel Pérez Aicart und Borja García ans Steuer, um dem GTA Spano mit ihren Profi-Erfahrungen weiteren Feinschliff zu verpassen. José Manuel Pérez Aicart zeigte sich begeistert: “Der GTA Spano ist das beste Auto, das ich je getestet habe.”
Mit seinen 840 PS und einem Kampfgewicht von nur 1.350 Kilogramm erreicht der GTA Spano bis zu 350 km/h. Dabei treiben 920 Newtonmeter den 600.000,- Euro teuren Flitzer brachial voran. Um in den Spano zu gelangen, wird das GTA-Logo auf den Türen per Fingerdruck betätigt -  schon öffnet sich der Einstieg ins Sportwagen-Paradies. Einen Rückspiegel sucht man hier vergeblich: Beim Einlegen des Rückwärtsganges beamt eine Kamera, die im Dach sitzt, das Bild von hinten aufs Display im Innenraum.
Das Design des Spano von GTA kommt den klassischen und erfolgreichen Sportwagen in diesem Segment sehr nahe. Dennoch wurde eine individuelle und leicht einprägsame Formensprache entworfen, die sich dem Betrachter auf immer und ewig ins Hirn brennt.
Die Front liegt tief und satt auf der Straße, Lufteinlässe in der Frontschürze versorgen die Carbon-Keramik Hochleistungsbremsen mit frischer Luft. Auf Grund der Mittelmotor-Bauweise sind die Sitze weit vorne angesiedelt. Die Insassen dieses neuen Leichtbau-Supersportwagens sitzen unter einem Glasdach.
Neben einer ausgefallenen Optik sorgt das Glas-Feature für eine sehr gute Rundumsicht. Auch für Betrachter, die das Fahrzeug von außen bewundern. Hinter dem Glas folgt eine Abdeckung für das Herzstück: Den selbst entwickelten V10. Der Kanal im hinteren Bereich presst die Luft zum Heckspoiler.
Der 8.3 Liter V10-Mittelmotor ist eine Eigenentwicklung der Spanier, die hier aus ihrer Erfahrung im Motorsport schöpfen konnten. Wird der Spano mit Super Plus betankt, entfaltet das Aggregat 780 PS, die mit Hochdruck vom 7-Gang Getriebe auf die 20-Zöller mit 335er Gummis an der Hinterachse übertragen werden. Der Clou: Schießt Bioethanol in die Adern, setzt der V10 hammerharte 840 PS frei.
Die höhere Oktanzahl bringt frühere Zündungen. Bei soviel Power werden alle hier genannten Daten sofort zur Nebensache: 100 km/h erreicht der GTA Spano in 2,9 Sekunden, als Spitze sind pompöse 350 km/h drin. Der Fahrer sitzt im Zentrum der Macht. Per Knopfdruck kann die Leistung für entspannte Ausfahrten auf 450 PS herunter geschraubt werden.
Das dazugehörige Koffer-Set aus den Händen von Firmengründer Domingo Ochoa wird dann gerne mitgenommen…

The engine of Sierra is pretty big and it is made of milder aluminum. The four-wheel drive Sierra hybrid bears the base price of $42,535. But, the price rises to $48,670, when the vehicle is equipped with 3 HB trim package.
This package is also provided with luxurious features of leathering seat, navigation and a Bose premium stereo system. Its transmission consists of manual shifting along with the continuous automatic 4 fixed ratios. The wheel base of the truck is about 143.5 inches. So as a whole, the 2010 Sierra has many advantages of attractive engineering and smooth operation, but is a lot of scope for improvement in the vehicle at the same time too.

To most of us a SUV and a fast sports car might seem as two completely different things, but the Porsche developing Cayenne Turbo has proved the contrary. But to go even further tuning atelier Gemballa tries to make the super car out of the German manufacturer SUV. Latest Gemballa preparation is limited, only 50 vehicles will be delivered to costumers from the upcoming series of Tornado 750 GTS.
Gemballa intention to make a SUV a real competitive super car once again is quite serious this time. It is so because at first their engineers are reducing the weight of the car. Tornado GTS 750 is about 250 kg lighter than the stock Cayenne Turbo. In addition, diet does not necessarily imply an ascetic sports interior - Tornado 750 GTS interior is a combination of sportingly elegant Alcantara leather and carbon fiber.
Another and very important factor in ensuring a decent super car dynamics is the engine. Gemballa professionals have increased its power to 750 hp, but the engine torque now reaches 1050Nm. After this Gemballa Tornado GTS 750 is able to accelerate to 60 miles per hour in 4.3 seconds, but its maximum speed is about 180 miles per hour.
Adjustable suspension, which is designed exclusively for this edition of Cayenne, allows it to adjust the clearance in range of 2.5 inches. Exterior has been changed by 22 inch wheels covered by 335/25 size tires. But for stopping the Tornado it carries huge brake discs (diameter: 420mm front and 380mm rear) with six-piston brake clamps.
And at the end there is another one thing. It is the factor that Gemballa Tornado GTS 750 brings the super car status - car price is around 500 thousand dollars.
